The High Desert

California is best known for it's beautiful white sand beaches and world-class waves that surfers from all around the world flock to, but if you head east you'll discover landscapes much harsher. While you'll most assuredly find sand dunes, there are no oceans, and water is a precious resource. Temperatures in the summer have set world records for heat, often recording higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This truly is hell on earth, but if you look closer, there's a diverse landscape full of life. Come along with us as we journey into an alien like landscape and explore the desolate and beautiful Joshua Tree.
